The Smells: You’d expect chaos from a blend this stacked, but thanks to our dedicated team of lab rats, it lands more organized than it has any right to. The first sniff is bright and citrus-forward, driven by 1.20% limonene. Our lab rats say it has the aroma of a sweet citrus candy or a sun filled tropical vacation. This makes us wonder how they know what a sun filled anything even smells like, let alone a vacation of any type, tropical or otherwise, since they never leave the lab.
Right behind that is a dense, slightly tropical sweetness. The 1.37% myrcene adds a soft, almost pulpy body to the aroma, giving it that rounded, slightly humid feel.
Then the structure kicks in. A comfy 3.30% beta-caryophyllene and 1.28% humulene pull everything back to earth with spice and a little dryness. Without that, this would probably smell like a gas station slushie machine. With it, the blend actually smells like something that came from a cannabis plant.
The Tastes: Inhale leans sweet and citrusy, with a mild tropical edge that suggests mango or papaya without fully committing. It’s smooth, almost creamy, which is the myrcene doing its thing again.
Exhale is where the blend tightens up. The spice comes forward, the sweetness drops back, and you get a more balanced finish with a light herbal dryness. One lab rat reported tasting a faint floral note, which we can all thank the linalool for, that softens the landing just enough to keep it from feeling sharp or messy.
The Feels: Paradise Frost is a sativa blend through and through. There’s an initial lift that feels clean and functional letting the limonene do what limonene likes to do, giving it that mental brightness and forward push.
Then you have the myrcene and caryophyllene helping to keep it grounded. You don’t float off, you just feel, slightly more engaged. It’s a “do something” high, not a “stare at the wall and rethink your life choices” high.
Overall, with 74% total active cannabinoids and 10.63% terpene content, Paradise Frost by The Dope Depot walks a tightrope between complexity and coherence.
Eleven strains could’ve easily turned into a muddy mess, but the terpene profile actually holds it together. That’s all thanks to the lab rats, carefully smelling bags of weed and checking genetics as best as they can in order to make sure each dab blend is as special as it can be.
