The Tastes: On the inhale, expect bright citrus and soft tropical fruit with a little berry sweetness tucked underneath. The middle gets rounder and more syrupy, moving into ripe fruit, light floral sweetness, and a bit of herbal depth. The exhale finishes with pepper, soft earth, and a gentle musky sweetness that keeps the whole thing from turning into a fruit punch dispenser with weed branding slapped on it.
Given the strain list here, this could have gone completely off the rails. Face Twister, Jokerz Candy, ATF, High Society, Strawberry Wowie, Mac V2, Motorbreath, Zour Diesel, Watermelon Martini, and Maui Cough is less of a blend and more of a cannabis potluck. Somehow, the numbers suggest everyone brought something useful instead of six people showing up with chips.
Let’s see what the numbers say.
Limonene at 1.30% is the first big piece of the profile. It brings the bright citrus lift up front, leaning more sweet citrus peel than sharp lemon. That’s where the Maui and fruit-forward side starts showing itself.
Right behind it is beta-caryophyllene at 1.25%, which gives the profile its peppery backbone. It’s not completely dominating the way it does in some of the heavier carts, but it’s strong enough to keep the tropical sweetness from floating off into nonsense.
Myrcene at 0.94% adds a lot of body. That gives the profile its ripe, slightly musky fruit depth and helps explain why this sativa doesn’t come across as thin or overly sharp. It brings weight without fully dragging the profile into indica mud.
Linalool at 0.77% is also doing meaningful work here. That’s a solid amount, and it adds floral softness while smoothing out the sharper citrus and spice notes. Together with the myrcene, it gives Maui Mix-Up a softer, more relaxed middle than the sativa label might suggest.
Alpha-humulene at 0.48% adds a dry, earthy edge to the finish, while fenchol at 0.28%, alpha-pinene at 0.25%, alpha-terpineol at 0.20%, and beta-pinene at 0.13% bring fresh herbal, piney, and lightly floral complexity around the edges. Terpinolene sits at 0.08%, so there’s only a small amount of that sharp, sparkling sativa brightness in the background.
The Feels: Maui Mix-Up lands as a sativa, but a softer and more rounded one. The limonene gives the onset some brightness and mood lift, while the pinene and small amount of terpinolene add a little clarity and movement. It has enough top-end energy to feel daytime-friendly, but it’s not screaming “clean your whole house and text six people back” like some sativa blends desperately try to do.
Then the myrcene, linalool, caryophyllene, and humulene start pulling things into a calmer lane. The result should feel upbeat at first, then more comfortable and relaxed as it settles. Less rocket fuel, more beach chair with a functioning brain still attached.
