The Smells: Land Surfer comes across much brighter and fresher than the lineup of old-school indica genetics that went into the blend might suggest. Citrus peel leads, followed by earthy herbs, pine, dry pepper, and a softer fruity sweetness underneath.

Let’s see what the numbers have to say.

Limonene actually takes the top spot at 0.86%, giving Land Surfer a noticeably brighter opening than a lot of our heavier indica blends. Think fresh citrus oil and peel rather than lemon candy.

Beta-caryophyllene follows at 0.73%, bringing warm pepper, dry spice, and woody resin into the middle of the profile.

Then myrcene comes in right behind it at 0.67%, adding a softer herbal and musky fruit layer. With those three sitting fairly close together, Land Surfer avoids becoming a one-terp dictatorship. We could all learn something from this jar.

Alpha-pinene at 0.32% and beta-pinene at 0.25% add a legitimate fresh green and piney component. That works especially well against the myrcene, giving the profile some lift and definition.

Alpha-humulene lands at 0.26%, reinforcing the woody, earthy side, while linalool at 0.16% adds a little floral softness around the edges. Fenchol comes in at 0.12%, followed by terpinolene at 0.05%, beta-ocimene and camphene at 0.04%, and alpha-terpineol at 0.02%.

Nothing especially exotic there individually, but together they help fill out the background with green herbs, wood, pine, faint florals, and some lighter aromatic lift.

All in all, our lab rats report citrus peel, pine, pepper, herbal earth, and soft fruit with a faint floral sweetness underneath.

The Tastes: The inhale starts brighter than expected. Limonene leads with clean citrus peel and a little oily sharpness, quickly followed by fresh pine from the pinenes.

Mid-palate is where the profile gets deeper. Caryophyllene brings warm pepper and spice, while humulene adds dry wood and earthy bitterness. Myrcene fills in underneath with softer herbal fruit and a little musky depth.

There’s also a faint sweetness running through the whole thing that keeps Land Surfer from feeling overly dry. The linalool gives the finish a little floral softness, while the fenchol and pinene keep things green and crispy.

The exhale settles into citrus, pine, pepper, herbs, and earthy wood, with a softer fruity note hanging around afterward.

One lab rat described it as “lemon peel dropped in a pine forest after somebody spilled pepper everywhere,” which sounds like an environmental incident but gets the point across.

The Feels: Land Surfer is labeled indica, and the overall experience comes across relaxed and grounded without feeling immediately heavy.

The SC Labs entourage-effects graphic leans heavily toward comfort and relaxation, with some focus and a smaller amount of calm, energy, and inspiration. Those graphics are directional rather than a guarantee of how any individual person will feel, because nervous systems insist on being annoyingly individual.

Subjectively, the onset feels fairly clear and composed before settling into a calmer body feel. There’s enough brightness in the profile to keep things from feeling dull, but the overall character still leans toward winding down rather than gearing up.

This feels like the kind of indica you can enjoy before becoming completely useless, which is apparently now a legitimate performance metric.

With 89.36% total cannabinoids and 3.67% terpenes, Land Surfer is definitely cannabinoid-forward. THCA leads at 83.5%, followed by 2.9% THC, 1.3% CBGA, and a few more minor cannabinoids hanging out in the background. That 83.5% THCA is doing most of the heavy lifting here, while the minor cannabinoid spread adds a little extra chemical texture.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on dose, tolerance, metabolism, and whether your plans for the evening require pants.

Overall, Land Surfer by The Dope Depot is a surprisingly bright indica with citrus, pine, pepper, herbs, earthy wood, and soft fruit all sharing the same space without turning into aromatic soup.

Visually, this one is noticeably different from a lot of the wetter extracts we have been seeing lately. Land Surfer has a pale cream-to-light-gold color with a soft, granular, almost sugary badder consistency.

The biggest strength here is balance. Limonene, caryophyllene, and myrcene sit close enough together that none completely hijacks the profile, while the relatively strong pinene content gives everything a fresher, greener edge.

For an indica built from genetics like Platinum OG, Pakistani Kush, Afghani X Thai, and Starkiller, Land Surfer manages to feel surprisingly lively aromatically.

Rating: Our lab rats give Land Surfer 8 pieces of cheese.
