The Tastes: If you came here expecting a crisp apple orchard moment, adjust expectations now. The PhytoFacts as well as our lab rats both acknowledge that despite the name, there is minimal apple flavor to be found.

The profile is dominated by caryophyllene at 2.11%, which is doing what it always does at that level, taking over the entire experience with warm, peppery, slightly woody spice. That immediately pushes this out of fruit territory and into savory-earthy land.

Right behind it is linalool at 0.88% which adds a soft, slightly floral sweetness. This is the closest thing to “fruit-adjacent” our lab rats mentioned, but they say it’s more like a rounded sweetness than anything resembling apple.

The humulene at 0.66% reinforces that dry, earthy bitterness, giving the profile a slightly hoppy, almost gassy edge that lines up perfectly with what our lab rats reported on the dab version of Appletite.

There’s a small contribution from limonene at 0.35%, but at that level it’s not driving anything. It just adds a faint brightness that never fully materializes into a distinct citrus or fruit note.

Supporting terpenes like α-terpineol at 0.23% and fenchol at 0.22% give it a slightly green, herbal softness, but again, nothing that screams apple. On the exhale, it settles into a dry, earthy, slightly gassy finish with a soft floral sweetness lingering underneath.

The Feels: Our lab rats report Appletite displays straightforward indica behavior. The caryophyllene and humulene anchor the experience in the body quickly. There’s a noticeable physical relaxation that builds without rushing.

Linalool smooths the whole thing into a calm, slightly euphoric headspace. Nothing intense, nothing overwhelming. Just steady comfort.

Myrcene is relatively low here at 0.12%, which is why it doesn’t fully knock you down. This stays in that “relaxed but functional” range unless you push it. It’s the kind of effect that makes you feel like everything is handled, even if it absolutely is not.

Overall, for having 82% total active cannabinoids and 5.73% terpene content, Appletite by The Dope Depot has a terpene stack that’s heavily weighted toward caryophyllene and humulene, with linalool providing softness.
