The Smells: Our lab rats report a soft, sweet grape note, but it’s sitting behind something heavier and more grounded. The dominant terpene here is beta-caryophyllene at a ridiculous 4.77%, backed by humulene at 1.60%, so the nose leans earthy, slightly spicy, and a little woody before it ever becomes “grape.”

There’s a mild fruit sweetness floating on top, and a faint floral smoothness from the linalool at 0.43%, but this is not a bright, juicy grape bomb. It’s darker. More like grape skins and spice than grape juice.

The Tastes: The inhale brings a light sweetness with a subtle grape character, but again, it’s not loud. On the exhale, the profile flips hard into spice, earth, and a slightly bitter herbal finish.

Caryophyllene absolutely dominates the experience, giving it that peppery structure, while humulene reinforces the dryness. The fruit element hangs around in the background, but if you’re chasing candy grape, this isn’t that. This is grape with a backbone.

The Feels: Marked Grape leans solidly into indica territory. With that much caryophyllene and humulene, the effect is body-heavy and grounding. There’s a noticeable sense of physical relaxation and “comfort” without a ton of mental chaos.

The modest limonene content at 0.86% adds just enough lift to keep it from feeling completely flat, but this is not an energetic profile.

Several lab rats reported a slow-building, steady relaxation that makes this better suited for evenings or shutting things down rather than getting anything done.

Overall, with 87% total active cannabinoids and 10.09% terpene content, Marked Grape by The Dope Depot is objectively loud on paper, and surprisingly controlled in practice.

The glossy golden extract looks perfect, and the terpene preservation is clearly there, but the profile isn’t trying to be flashy. It’s structured, spice-forward, and grounded, with just enough fruit to justify the name without turning into a gimmick. Turns out when you stack grape strains, you don’t always get candy. Sometimes you just get depth.

As with all high terpene extracts, be sure to keep the jar upright and give it a stir before you dab.

Rating: Our lab rats give Marked Grape 8 pieces of cheese.
