The Smells: Rumple Berry lands as berry gas, sharp green pine, soft citrus, peppery spice, and a darker earthy finish. It has a brighter top end than the name suggests, because apparently “Berry” now means “bring your own forest and pepper grinder.” Cannabis naming remains a lawless swamp, but here we are.

Let’s see what the numbers say.

Beta-caryophyllene leads at 1.05%, giving Rumple Berry its main spicy backbone. That brings pepper, light wood, and enough earthy structure to keep the fruit side from turning into cheap berry syrup.

Then alpha-pinene steps up at 0.66%, which is a pretty noticeable amount for this profile. That gives it a fresh green bite, somewhere between pine needles, resin, and that clean snap you get when a terpene profile remembers it has a spine. Beta-pinene adds another 0.22%, reinforcing that fresh herbal edge without fully taking over.

Limonene sits at 0.39%, adding a soft citrus lift. It is not loud enough to steer the whole thing, but it brightens the berry and grape notes nicely. Myrcene and alpha-humulene both come in at 0.34%, giving the profile some mild body and earthy depth. Linalool at 0.23% adds a little floral softness around the edges.

All in all, our lab rats report tart berry, grape skin, light citrus, pine resin, pepper spice, and a little earthy gas underneath. It smells cleaner and greener than expected, with the fruit showing up more as a rounded background than a screaming candy note. Tragic news for anyone hoping for grape soda cosplay.

The Tastes: The inhale starts smooth, slightly sweet, and lightly citrusy. There is a berry-grape note up front, but it leans more toward tart fruit skin than jam or candy. The limonene gives it a small bright opening, while the pinene quickly adds that fresh green snap.

Mid-palate, the caryophyllene comes in with pepper and light woody spice. The humulene and myrcene give it a little weight, but this is not a thick, syrupy, heavy fruit profile. It stays fairly clean and structured.

The exhale leans earthy, peppery, and lightly floral, with that pine-herbal note hanging around longer than expected. There’s a mild berry sweetness on the finish, but it stays controlled.

One lab rat described it as “berry gas with hiking boots,” and unfortunately that does make sense.

The Feels: Rumple Berry lands as a balanced hybrid with a slight lean toward calm comfort. The pinene and limonene give the onset a little clarity and lift, but the caryophyllene, humulene, myrcene, and linalool pull things back into a smoother, more relaxed place.

This doesn’t feel like a couch trap. The myrcene is present, but not heavy enough to dominate. Instead, the profile reads as functional, clear enough up front, and more comfortable as it settles in. The PhytoFact wheel shows comfort, relaxation, focus, and calm all making an appearance, which lines up pretty well with the terpene spread.

The cannabinoid profile is worth noting too. Rumple Berry comes in at 88.06% total cannabinoids, with 62.7% THCA and 19.7% THC. That active THC number is higher than a lot of these dabbable extracts, so the onset may feel a little more immediate than the THCA-heavy jars. Tiny numbers, big consequences. Chemistry remains annoying like that.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on dose, tolerance, and whether your endocannabinoid system was assembled on a Friday afternoon.

Overall, with 88% total active cannabinoids and 4.23% terpene content, Rumple Berry by The Dope Depot is not the loudest terp bomb in the lineup, but it is balanced and well-built.

Visually, it has a glossy amber-gold sauce consistency with a clean wet surface and good clarity. It looks smooth, stable, and properly homogenized, with enough shine to make it clear this is not some dry crumble wearing a fake mustache.

The biggest strength here is restraint. Rumple Berry could have gone full sweet grape sludge, but instead it lands cleaner, greener, and more structured. Berry, grape, pine, citrus, pepper, and earth all show up without trampling each other like shoppers on Black Friday chasing a discounted air fryer.

Rating: Our lab rats give Rumple Berry 8.5 pieces of cheese.
