The Smells: Confection Cream lands exactly where the name says it should, which is rude because now the marketing department gets to feel correct. This one comes through as sweet candy cream, citrus peel, soft berry, floral smoothness, light pepper, and a clean earthy finish.

Let’s take a look at the numbers.

Beta-caryophyllene leads at 1.55%, giving Confection Cream its main structure. That brings pepper, light wood, and a grounded spice layer underneath the sweeter dessert side. Without it, this could have easily turned into frosting with delusions of grandeur.

Limonene follows at 0.88%, adding citrus brightness. That keeps the profile from getting too thick or sugary and pushes the top end toward lemon-orange peel, soft fruit, and bright candy.

Then linalool shows up at 0.64%, which makes a lot of sense for a Candy Runtz and Ice Cream Cake blend. That brings floral sweetness, soft cream, and a smoother finish. It helps bridge the candy side and the dessert side instead of letting them slap each other around in the jar like unsupervised children.

Alpha-humulene at 0.48% adds some earthy dryness, while alpha-terpineol at 0.20%, beta-pinene at 0.19%, and fenchol at 0.16% bring faint herbal, fresh, and lightly creamy accents. Myrcene is only 0.08%, so this is not a heavy myrcene indica. The softness here is coming more from the linalool, caryophyllene, humulene, and overall cannabinoid strength.

All in all, our lab rats report creamy citrus candy, soft berry sweetness, floral smoothness, mild pepper, and a little earthy-herbal finish. Sweet, polished, and dessert-leaning without becoming a full sugar hostage situation.

The Tastes: The inhale starts smooth, sweet, and citrus-forward. Limonene gives it that bright peel note, while the Candy Runtz side seems to bring a soft candy-fruit edge right away.

Mid-palate, the Ice Cream Cake influence starts showing more. The flavor rounds out into creamy sweetness with a faint floral quality from the linalool. Not quite vanilla frosting. More like citrus cream with berry candy sitting underneath it.

The caryophyllene and humulene come in underneath with mild pepper, light wood, and a little dry earth. That gives the dab structure and keeps the exhale from collapsing into sweet vapor nonsense.

The finish leans creamy, floral, lightly citrusy, and faintly herbal. One lab rat described it as “candy cake with adult supervision,” which is depressing because apparently beta-caryophyllene is the responsible one again.

The Feels: Confection Cream is labeled indica, and the profile supports that, but it is not a blunt-force couch hammer. The limonene gives the onset a little brightness, while the beta-pinene and fenchol add a faint clean edge.

After that, the linalool, caryophyllene, and humulene start smoothing everything out. The PhytoFact wheel leans into comfort, calm, inspiration, relaxation, and some energy, which tracks pretty well. This feels like a polished dessert indica with a brighter entry and a softer landing.

With 90.17% cannabinoids and 5.08% terpenes, Confection Cream has plenty of potency behind the flavor. THCA leads at 81.7%, with THC at 2.8%, plus a notable 3.7% CBCA and 1.5% CBGA. So this is not just another pretty jar with a dessert name trying to distract you with vibes and edible-adjacent branding. It has actual weight behind it.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on dose, tolerance, and whether dessert strains make you relaxed or mysteriously willing to eat cereal directly out of the box like civilization has ended.

Overall, Confection Cream by The Dope Depot is a smooth, sweet, citrus-cream indica with berry candy, floral softness, mild pepper, and a clean earthy finish.

Visually, it has a bright golden-orange, wet, glossy badder consistency with a sugary texture across the surface. Nice shine, clean color, no weird separation, no dry crumble cosplaying as “premium texture.” It looks terp-rich and properly handled.

The biggest strength here is balance. Candy Runtz brings the sweet candy-fruit side, Ice Cream Cake brings the creamier dessert profile, and the caryophyllene-linalool-humulene combo keeps the whole thing from turning into a melted birthday cake disaster.

Confection Cream is sweet, smooth, creamy, and comfortable. A dessert-leaning indica that actually has enough structure to justify the name instead of just borrowing it from the snack aisle.

Rating: Our lab rats give Confection Cream 8.1 pieces of cheese.
