The Smells: El Chivo X Mango comes through as sweet mango skin, citrus peel, warm pepper, earthy funk, soft floral cream, and a little green herbal lift. It has a fruit-forward top end, but the indica side is not exactly hiding in the corner filling out paperwork.
Let’s take a look at the numbers.
Beta-caryophyllene leads at 1.83%, giving this one its main structure. That brings warm pepper, light wood, and that familiar grounded spice that keeps tropical profiles from turning into vape-store fruit soup.
Limonene follows at 0.84%, adding a clean citrus brightness. That works nicely with the Mango Sapphire side, pushing the nose toward mango peel, citrus oil, and sweet tropical fruit rather than straight candy.
Alpha-humulene at 0.57% and myrcene at 0.52% add the heavier side. Humulene brings dry earth and herbal depth, while myrcene adds soft fruit body and a slightly musky roundness. Together, they help pull the profile back into indica territory after the fruit and citrus make their dramatic little entrance.
Linalool at 0.41% adds floral sweetness and a creamy smooth edge, which gives the whole thing some polish. Terpinolene at 0.27% adds a light sharpness and a faintly sweet herbal top note, while beta-pinene at 0.19% and alpha-pinene at 0.10% bring a small green snap in the background.
All in all, our lab rats report mango peel, citrus, warm pepper, earthy funk, soft floral cream, and a mild herbal finish. Sweet, spicy, and grounded, like tropical fruit that got dragged into a basement and taught discipline.
The Tastes: The inhale starts sweet, bright, and citrusy. The mango character shows up early, but it isn’t syrupy. More mango skin and citrus zest than mango candy, which is good because adults pretending candy is a personality has gone far enough.
Mid-palate, the caryophyllene steps in with pepper and light woody spice. The humulene adds dry earth, while the myrcene rounds it out with a softer fruit body. That gives the flavor some weight without flattening the brighter notes.
The linalool brings a smooth floral finish that almost reads creamy, while the terpinolene and pinene add a small herbal-green edge. The exhale lands peppery, earthy, citrusy, and lightly tropical, with a soft mango note hanging around after the spice clears out.
One lab rat described it as “mango salsa at an indica support group,” which is silly, but not useless.
The Feels: El Chivo X Mango is labeled indica, and the profile mostly backs that up. The limonene and terpinolene give it a brighter opening than a dead-heavy nightcap indica, but the caryophyllene, humulene, myrcene, and linalool bring the weight back down.
The effect feels calm, comfortable, and grounded with a little mood lift on the front end. Not sedative right out of the gate, but it definitely settles into the body as it goes. The PhytoFact wheel leans into comfort, relaxation, calm, inspiration, and some energy, which fits this one pretty well. Bright enough to stay social, heavy enough to remind you gravity is still undefeated.
With 86.92% total active cannabinoids and 5.63% terpenes, El Chivo X Mango has solid potency and a balanced terpene load. THCA leads at 80.4%, with 2.6% CBGA, 1.9% THC, 1.1% CBCA, 0.4% THCVA, 0.3% CBG, and 0.2% CBDA. Not just fruit and vibes, thankfully. The cannabinoids showed up with tools to get the job done.
As always, your mileage may vary depending on dose, tolerance, and whether mango-forward indicas make you relaxed or just weirdly confident.
Overall, El Chivo X Mango by The Dope Depot is a sweet, citrusy, mango-leaning indica with warm pepper, dry earth, soft floral cream, and a light herbal finish.
Visually, it has a pale golden, wet, glossy consistency with a softer sugary texture across the surface. Clean shine, nice color, good homogenization, no separation, no tragic little crumble pile pretending it was a choice.
The biggest strength here is balance. Mango Sapphire brings the tropical sweetness, El Chivo adds depth and indica weight, and Terpin’ Time appears to be doing exactly what the name threatens by rounding out the terpene spread. The result is fruity without being childish, earthy without being dull, and relaxing without going straight to furniture mode.
El Chivo X Mango is smooth, bright, spicy, and comfortable. A tropical indica with enough peppery-earthy backbone to keep the mango from running the whole jar like some tiny orange dictator.
Rating: Our lab rats give El Chivo X Mango 8.9 pieces of cheese.
