The Smells: Tahoe Brunch comes through sweet, citrusy, lightly fruity, peppery, and earthy, with a soft floral-herbal layer underneath. Compared with some of these recent terpene monsters, this one is considerably more restrained. Not every jar needs to kick the door off its hinges with a crazy terpene number. Believe it or not, some people find higher terpene concentrates a bit irritating to the throat and lungs. I am not one of those people, but I hear they exist.

Let’s see what the numbers have to say.

Beta-caryophyllene leads at 0.81%, forming the main backbone with warm pepper, dry wood, and light earthy spice.

Limonene follows at 0.55%, bringing citrus peel and a brighter top end. It gives the profile some lift without completely dominating it, pushing the sweeter side toward orange and lemon rather than straight candy.

Linalool is unusually prominent at 0.35%, sitting just ahead of myrcene at 0.33%. That linalool adds a soft floral sweetness and helps smooth the sharper citrus and pepper edges. The myrcene contributes a little fruit depth, herbal body, and roundness underneath.

Alpha-humulene at 0.27% reinforces the dry earthy side, while fenchol at 0.18% adds a slightly woody, fresh herbal character.

Then we get an interesting little pinene pairing. Alpha-pinene and beta-pinene both land at 0.17%, giving Tahoe Brunch a clean green edge and a faint piney freshness without turning it into a forest-themed air freshener.

Terpinolene at 0.13% and alpha-terpineol at 0.11% contribute small sweet-herbal and floral accents, while beta-ocimene at 0.06% adds just a little fresh green lift.

All in all, our lab rats report sweet citrus, soft berry-like fruit, pepper, light earth, fresh herbs, and a faint floral finish. Nothing screams individually. The profile works more as a blended whole.

The Tastes: The inhale starts sweet and citrusy, with limonene bringing orange-lemon brightness over a softer fruit background. There’s a mild creamy sweetness in there too, which fits nicely with the Blueberry Shortstack side of this absurdly complicated family tree.

Mid-palate, the caryophyllene starts supplying warm pepper and light woody spice. Humulene brings some dry earth underneath, while the myrcene keeps the whole thing from feeling too thin.

The linalool becomes more noticeable toward the finish, adding a soft floral quality that rounds out the spice. The equal alpha- and beta-pinene numbers also leave a subtle fresh green note behind.

The exhale lands somewhere between citrus peel, berry fruit, warm pepper, herbs, and lightly floral earth. One lab rat described it as “breakfast fruit someone seasoned like dinner,” which sounds idiotic until you actually dab it for yourself.

The Feels: Tahoe Brunch is labeled hybrid, and this is one of those cases where that description seems pretty useful. The PhytoFact wheel shows a fairly broad spread across comfort, relaxation, calm, energy, and inspiration rather than one category completely swallowing everything else. The terpene profile tells a similar story.

Limonene and the pinenes give the beginning some brightness and mental lift. Then caryophyllene, linalool, humulene, and myrcene gradually add a calmer, more grounded body feel.

It doesn’t read like an aggressively stimulating sativa or a heavy evening indica. It sits somewhere in the middle, with enough lift to stay functional and enough softness to take the edge off.

With 86.37% total active cannabinoids and 3.39% terpenes, Tahoe Brunch is much more cannabinoid-forward than several of the recent Red Eye batches, which is a nice way of saying “WHERE’S DA TERPS?”

That’s alright, not every single SKU needs to be specially designed for terp size queens like myself. Sometimes it’s nice to have a more mellow dab experience. THCA leads at 77.1%, followed by 4.9% THC, 2.1% CBGA, 1.2% CBCA, 0.5% THCVA, 0.3% delta-8 THC, 0.2% CBG, and 0.2% CBDA.

That 2.1% CBGA is worth noting. It’s one of the more noticeable secondary cannabinoid numbers in the profile and gives the cannabinoid side a little more character than another nearly monoculture THCA result.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on dose, tolerance, metabolism, and whether your definition of brunch involves pancakes or getting high enough to forget breakfast existed.

Overall, Tahoe Brunch by The Dope Depot is a balanced hybrid with sweet citrus, soft fruit, pepper, earth, light herbs, and floral undertones.

Visually, it has a bright golden-yellow wet sugar consistency with plenty of gloss across the surface. There’s visible crystallization underneath the terpene-rich top layer, giving it that loose, juicy badder appearance our lab rats have been dialing in lately.

The main strength here is balance rather than sheer terpene intensity. At 3.39%, Tahoe Brunch isn’t trying to win a laboratory brain measuring contest. Instead, caryophyllene, limonene, linalool, myrcene, humulene, and the pinenes all sit close enough together that no single note gets to hijack the profile.

That makes Tahoe Brunch less of a one-note showcase and more of an actual blend. Sweet, citrusy, earthy, lightly floral, and pleasantly grounded, with enough brightness to keep the whole thing moving.

Rating: Our lab rats give Tahoe Brunch 7.8 pieces of cheese.
