The Smells: Gator Punch is built around pepper, dry earth, woody spice, and a softer herbal background, with just enough citrus hiding underneath to keep the whole thing from becoming too overwhelming.

Let’s take a look at the numbers.

Beta-caryophyllene absolutely runs this profile at 2.71%. That’s more than half of the total 4.83% terpene content, so there’s no mystery about where the structure comes from. Expect warm black pepper, dry spice, woody resin, and that dense aromatic bite caryophyllene-heavy extracts tend to carry.

Alpha-humulene follows at 0.89%, reinforcing the earthy, woody side and making this feel even more structurally heavy. Caryophyllene and humulene together account for 3.60% of the entire extract, which is a frankly unreasonable amount of pepper-and-earth architecture for two molecules to be responsible for.

Limonene comes in a distant third at 0.29%. That’s not quite enough to turn Gator Punch into a citrus-forward profile, but it does provide a little lift and brightness around the edges. Everything else lives in supporting-role territory.

Linalool lands at 0.10%, beta-pinene and fenchol both at 0.09%, myrcene and caryophyllene oxide both at 0.08%, and alpha-pinene at 0.07%. Those smaller amounts add faint floral softness, fresh green notes, dry wood, and some herbal depth without disturbing the caryophyllene-humulene dictatorship.

All in all, our lab rats report warm pepper, earthy resin, dry wood, light herbs, and a restrained citrus edge. This is a savory profile first. The fruitier Punch Breath genetics may be lurking somewhere in the family tree, but the lab numbers have clearly decided we are eating pepper for dinner.

The Tastes: The inhale starts peppery and resinous almost immediately. Caryophyllene dominates the front end with warm spice and dry wood, while humulene brings in a slightly bitter, earthy quality underneath.

The limonene becomes more noticeable once everything warms up, adding a faint citrus peel brightness through the middle. It’s less lemon candy and more the oil that gets on your fingers after twisting citrus peel over something that probably didn’t need garnish.

Mid-palate gets dense and earthy, with woody spice, mild herbal bitterness, and a touch of fresh green character from the pinenes and fenchol.

The linalool and tiny amount of myrcene soften the edges slightly, but neither gets anywhere close to turning this into a sweet or floral dab.

The exhale finishes peppery, earthy, woody, and lightly citrus-herbal, with that dry caryophyllene note hanging around long afterward. One lab rat described it as “pepper bark with a lemon nearby,” which is fairly accurate.

The Feels: Gator Punch lands comfortably in indica territory. The PhytoFact wheel leans heavily toward comfort, with a moderate calm component and only small amounts of energy, inspiration, focus, and relaxation showing elsewhere.

The terpene profile fits that general direction too. Caryophyllene and humulene dominate so thoroughly that the experience feels grounded and body-forward, while the small amount of limonene keeps the onset from feeling completely flat.

There’s a little mental brightness at the beginning, but this doesn’t read like a stimulating profile. It settles into something calmer and heavier pretty quickly.

The body effect is steady rather than crushing. Comfortable, grounded, mildly heavy, and well suited to situations where accomplishing things has become more of an optional side quest.

With 88.39% total cannabinoids and 4.83% terpenes, Gator Punch is another cannabinoid-heavy batch. THCA leads at 81.7%, followed by 4.0% THC, 1.1% CBGA, 0.9% CBCA, 0.4% THCVA, 0.2% CBDA, 0.1% CBG, and 0.1% CBN.

Nothing strange hiding in the cannabinoid panel here. Just a strong THCA-dominant extract with a handful of minor cannabinoids adding a little background complexity.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on tolerance, dose, metabolism, and whether you interpret “body-forward indica” as relaxation or permission to become furniture.

Overall, Gator Punch by The Dope Depot is a spice-heavy indica centered around beta-caryophyllene and alpha-humulene.

Visually, the finished extract has a smooth, glossy golden-yellow appearance with a slightly opaque center and a wet, homogeneous consistency. There is no obvious separation or dry crumble, just a clean, soft badder-like texture with enough sheen to show it’s still carrying some juice.

The standout feature here is the terpene ratio.

At 2.71% beta-caryophyllene and 0.89% alpha-humulene, nearly three quarters of the measured terpene profile is coming from two closely related sesquiterpenes. That gives Gator Punch a very specific personality: pepper, wood, earth, resin, and herbal bitterness with only a small amount of citrus lift.

Rating: Our lab rats give Gator Punch 7.5 pieces of cheese.
