The Smells: Dante’s Inferno does not mess around. Beta-caryophyllene at 3.54% is doing the heavy lifting, and yeah, it’s loud. Big warm spice, pepper, slightly woody, the usual “comfy but serious” backbone. It’s paired with alpha-humulene at 1.53%, which pushes that earthy depth even further. This is not a bright, playful profile. It’s grounded, dense, and a little brooding.

Our lab rats did mention a little lift from the 0.81% limonene, but it’s more of a background glow than a spotlight. Just enough citrus to keep it from feeling flat. There’s also a bit of pinene at 0.29% alpha and beta combined, and fenchol at 0.18%, giving a faint green, slightly herbal edge, but it’s subtle.

What stands out is how controlled it is. Even with big terp numbers, nothing feels chaotic. It’s spice forward, earth heavy, with just a thin citrus ribbon running through it.

The Tastes: Pretty much exactly what the nose promised, which is always nice when reality lines up with expectations. The inhale comes in smooth with a mild citrus note, but it doesn’t hang around long. Mid-palate is where the caryophyllene/humulene combo takes over. Slight pepper, slightly woody, with a dry earthy structure that feels deliberate instead of harsh.

The exhale leans heavier into that earthy profile with a faint herbal note lingering. There’s a subtle sweetness tucked way in the background, but this isn’t a dessert profile.

The Feels: The onset is relatively calm mentally. You might get a small lift from the limonene, but it’s not trying to take you anywhere exciting. Pretty quickly, the body effect starts to settle in.

With the higher caryophyllene content, humulene, and a supporting kick from myrcene, this leans firmly into the relaxing side. Not instant knockout, but definitely a creeping weight that builds over time.

Comfortable, slightly heavy, and very easy to overdo if you’re not paying attention. Functional in small doses, but push it and you’re probably not getting much done beyond staring at something and thinking it’s profound. As with all cannabis products, depending on your tolerance, your milage may vary.

Overall, with 75% total active cannabinoids and 8.09% terpene content, Dante’s Inferno by The Dope Depot isn’t chasing potency flexes. It’s built around a strong, terpene-driven structure, and it shows.

Visually, it’s got that classic clean, glossy, slightly wet golden Red Eye consistency you’ve all come to know and love. No separation, no dryness, nothing weird going on. Just looks like it was handled correctly from start to finish, which, shockingly, still isn’t guaranteed in this industry.

The real strength here is balance within a heavy profile. With terp numbers like this, it could’ve easily turned muddy or overwhelming. Instead, it lands as a clear spice-earth dominant extract with just enough brightness to keep it from collapsing in on itself.

As with all high terpene extracts, be sure to keep the jar upright and give it a stir before you dab.

Rating: Our lab rats give Dante’s Inferno 8 pieces of cheese.
