The Smells: For those unaware of the lore, Mjölnir is named after Thor’s hammer. One of our lab rats started explaining to me why this name was chosen, but it was really hard to follow then I completely lost interest. Let’s just say the blends that went into this one were completely worthy.

Our lab rats describe the overall profile as peppery citrus, dry wood, earthy resin, and subtle sweet berry notes hiding somewhere within that terpy, cannabinoid rich thunderstorm.

Let’s see what the numbers have to say.

Fetch me my hammer.

Right out of the gate, 2.96% beta-caryophyllene and 1.15% alpha-humulene establish an earthy-spice backbone. Warm cracked pepper, dry wood, herbal resin, and a faint savory funk dominate the profile. This is one of those extracts that smells substantial. Dense. Like it has opinions about how things should be done.

Fortunately, 0.57% limonene keeps it from becoming a complete spice rack. There’s a noticeable citrus brightness floating above the heavier notes. Not candy citrus. More like fresh citrus peel sitting on a workbench covered in pine sap and sawdust.

The surprisingly low 0.18% myrcene is doing this blend a favor. With caryophyllene numbers this high, extra myrcene could’ve pushed things into muddy territory. Instead, the aroma stays remarkably crisp and focused.

The pinenes are present but restrained, contributing a subtle green freshness without dominating anything. Meanwhile, 0.34% linalool helps smooth some of the rough edges and adds a faint floral sweetness that occasionally peeks through the heavier earthy notes.

The Tastes: The inhale opens brighter than expected. The limonene arrives first with a clean citrus note followed by a subtle sweetness likely coming from the Bluemosa side of the blend. There are hints of berry and fruit if you go looking for them, but they’re supporting characters, not headliners.

Mid-palate is where the caryophyllene and humulene start throwing their weight around. Warm spice, earthy wood, and resinous herbal notes build steadily and provide structure from beginning to end.

The lower myrcene content keeps everything feeling surprisingly sharp and defined. Nothing gets syrupy or heavy despite the substantial terpene backbone.

The exhale leans heavily toward earthy spice with lingering citrus peel and a faint floral softness hanging around afterward. One lab rat described it as, “A lumberjack eating an orange during a thunderstorm.”

The Feels: Despite carrying enough caryophyllene to qualify as a personality trait, Mjölnir still lands firmly on the sativa side of the fence.

The onset brings a noticeable mental lift supported by the limonene and the relatively low myrcene content. Thoughts feel a little clearer. Conversations become easier. Mundane tasks seem marginally less offensive.

The caryophyllene and humulene eventually introduce some body comfort, but they never drag the experience into sleepy territory. Instead, they provide a grounded foundation underneath the more active mental effects.

This is the kind of sativa profile that feels productive without becoming jittery. It’s alert and functional without feeling sterile. The Thunder Junky side of the blend contributes exactly what you’d expect it would: energy and engagement without completely abandoning comfort.

As always, your mileage may vary depending on tolerance, metabolism, and whatever bizarre software update your endocannabinoid system installed overnight.

Overall, with 84% total active cannabinoids and 6.14% terpene content, Mjölnir by The Dope Depot proves that you don’t need double-digit terpene numbers to build a memorable profile.

Visually, it’s beautiful. Bright golden coloration, excellent homogenization, and a glossy slightly wet consistency that looks tasty every time you open the jar.

The biggest strength here is focus. Given the complexity of the blends involved, this could’ve easily become a confused blend of competing flavors. Instead, it lands with a clear identity built around citrus, spice, wood, and resin with just enough sweetness to keep things interesting.

As with all high terpene extracts, keep the jar upright and be sure to give it a stir before you take a dab.

Rating: Our lab rats give Mjölnir 8.5 pieces of cheese.
