The Tastes: On the inhale, expect dry citrus, pepper, and a little sweet fuel underneath. The middle gets more grounded, moving into woody spice, earthy funk, and a faint gluey sweetness. The exhale finishes peppery, slightly bitter, herbal, and clean, with just enough sweetness left behind to keep it from becoming all bark and no fruit.

Let’s see what the numbers say.

Beta-caryophyllene leads at 2.95%, giving Growler Gary its main backbone. That shows up as pepper, dry wood, resin, and warm spice through the middle and finish. It’s the dominant force here, keeping the profile structured and grounded instead of letting the sweeter Punch side take over.

Alpha-humulene follows at 1.06%, reinforcing the dry, earthy, slightly bitter finish. Together, caryophyllene and humulene make this feel more savory and classic than sweet. That’s where the cart gets its “growl,” assuming we’re all agreeing to participate in the naming theater like obedient little mammals.

Limonene and myrcene both land at 0.59%, which gives the profile a nice push-pull. Limonene brings light citrus brightness on the inhale, while myrcene adds body, mild musk, and a softer herbal depth. Neither one dominates, but together they help round out the bigger pepper-and-earth structure.

Linalool at 0.29% brings a little floral smoothness, while fenchol at 0.19% and alpha-pinene at 0.14% add fresh herbal and green edges. Terpinolene at 0.11%, beta-pinene at 0.07%, and alpha-terpineol at 0.05% add smaller background notes, but this cart is clearly built around spice, earth, citrus, and body… And hands. Lots of hands.

The Feels: Growler Gary lands as a balanced hybrid with a grounded, comfortable lean. The limonene gives the onset a little brightness, and the small amount of pinene adds a touch of clarity, but this isn’t a racy, high-speed cart. The caryophyllene and humulene pull things back toward center pretty quickly, giving the experience more body, calm, and structure.

The myrcene adds some weight without making it feel like a heavy indica. This should sit in that middle lane where the head stays reasonably usable while the body gets a little more settled. Not couch glue, not rocket fuel. A functional compromise, which is the best we can hope for at this point.

Overall, with 79% total active cannabinoids and 6.89% terpene content, Growler Gary by The Dope Depot is a pepper-forward hybrid with citrus lift, earthy depth, and a lightly sweet glue-funk finish.

The terpene profile is built around caryophyllene, humulene, limonene, myrcene, and linalool. That gives it dry spice, woody earth, mild citrus, soft body, and just enough smoothness to keep the finish approachable.

Rating: Our lab rats give Growler Gary 7.9 pieces of cheese.
